  Beware! We retained the services of Giddy Funeral Home, Fergus ("GFH") to look after a simple cremation after my father's passing in Dec./15. Within days of that being done, GFH reduced their prices for these same services by approximately ONE-HALF, due to "increased competition" in that segment of their business. We subsequently requested that consideration be given to a reduction to the charges for my father's cremation in these circumstances, which GFH refused, citing that it is within their rights to change their prices as they see fit. I would recommend that anyone seeking funeral services in the Wellington area consider a business that is charging a fair and equitable fee to their customers from the outset, not just when they are forced to do so as a result of increased competition in their service area.
